Outdoor Natural Science Area Completed in Spalding

Monday the 27th of February saw the completion of our latest GANF (Grantham Additional Needs Fellowship) project. It took our Hill Holt Wood Rangers 6 days battling through the high winds of storm Doris to complete the natural science area within a woodland setting at the Priory School, Spalding.

This project was the 3rd collaborative project with GANF (Grantham Additional Needs Fellowship) as part of a series of builds to improve outdoor learning and sensory activities within their schools.

Pond Dipping Decking

The natural science area included a pond dipping decked platform, an outdoor performance stage and hand crafted hardwood benches, a bird hide and feeder area, a reptiles and amphibians nesting area, bug hotels, hedgehog houses and disabled rubber matting around the site to improve access (A big thanks to GCL products).

A brilliant project involving our design team, our rangers and and our learners, all for an amazing cause! We hope to continue working alongside GANF to create such unique learning spaces.
